TREATMENT
MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT
Following the pandemic, schools data revealed an increase in youth mental health concerns. UMADAOP developed a school based Mental Health and Prevention model that provides students through referrals from teachers and parents access to a school-based mental health therapist, intervention support and science-based prevention groups. This is the second year using this model with many requests due to the model’s cultural perspective.
YOUTH PROGRAMS
The Anger Management team practices a combined cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) approach that employs relaxation, cognitive, and communication skills interventions, and formulate individualized anger control plans.
OUTPATIENT CARE
The Outpatient Group Treatment program consists of weekly individual and group treatment as identified in the client’s treatment plan. Everyone attends at minimum two (2) groups and one (1) individual session weekly until they progress to the maintenance stage of care.
INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT CARE
IOPs are an important aspect of care for people seeking help in overcoming addiction. The program is used to address addictions, depression, or other dependencies that do not require detoxification or round-the-clock supervision. They enable our clients to continue with their normal, day-to-day lives. Studies show that group participation can be just as effective as individual therapy when treating addiction.
WOMEN SPECIALIZED TREATMENT
The Women Specialized Treatment is a ten-week group designed to support the specific needs of women. We recognized that the recovery process is not the same for both men and women and women are treated optimally in a gender-specific setting. The SAMHSA Matrix for women stimulant use disorders is utilized.
MEDICAL ASSISTED TREATMENT
